Now you don't!!!

That's the last time I start a sock without checking my guage. The pattern is Bells & Whistles socks from the Holiday 2006 issue of Interweave Knits. The Yarn is Socks that Rock mediumweight "Obsidian". Part of my birthday gift, I think. I knit the sock on size 2 needles as directed, and wound up with at least two inches of ease in the leg. Also nearly ran out of yarn, as it used exactly half a skein (80g).
So I started again on size 1 needles and it's looking much, much better.
And an update on my Rockin Sock Club package--there is none. It still hasn't arrived. According to the club blog, some people have nearly finished their pair of socks. I'm thinking of just passing on it for later. I need to finish this brown pair first.

Love the visual texture on that sock. Enjoy finishing the other half. Oh, and belated B-Day greetings! :-)
