Bobble/2=Bob
Here's the back of bobble shirt completed, and it's now off the needles and in a bag with the rest of its yarn. I've got some Lorna's Laces that will be arriving on Wednesday for a Clapotis for one of my daughter's three, no, make that four preschool teachers. Since she's finishing preschool in mid August, those absolutely have to be done. So I'm detouring bobble for a Clapotis or two or three or four.
I've also got to make a pair of socks for a houseguest arriving on June 15. Yes, sleep in our bed and get a pair of handknit socks to go home in.
Don't ask me to knit you a bathrobe.

Numbers don't lie
173.
That's right. One. Seven. Three.
The number of skeins of yarn in my stash.
Crap.

Day One
What's on my needles? Bobble shirt in a slightly different color scheme. Well, a completely different color scheme.
What's my stash like? I'm going to guess I have 64 skeins/balls of new yarn. Maybe I'll count them tomorrow to see how far I'm off. I've probably greatly underestimated. (Husband, don't read that).
And that's not counting the 4 skeins of Lorna's Laces Worsted for a clapotis, or the 7 skeins of Cascade 220 (felted bag from pickup sticks) on its way from http://www.yarn-store.com/.
Better not read that either, dear.
FO's this year include a baby blanket that just...would...not...die from Sarah Dallas Knitting. Man, that thing just went on and on. It took me about three weeks to finish. One of my longest projects.
Also finished is a Seraphim shawl, still waiting to be blocked as I don't have a blocking board yet. But I guess I'd better get one because the shawl is for my Gram's 90th birthday in August.
I honestly can't remember what else I've done this year--probably some socks, a few scarves maybe. Must document better.
And now for a dirty little secret. So many knitters talk about the yarn stash. Well, what about the book stash, hmmmm? Magazines anyone? Loose patterns floating around? Those babies are REAL easy to hide.
Time to fess up everyone. Flaunt that pattern stash too!
And if I have the guts, I'll do it on my next post. Cause day one? She's done.
'night.
